Arsenal match-winner Kai Havertz has taken to Instagram after his goal against Brentford – and has received a message from Folarin Balogun.

Kai Havertz has celebrated on Instagram after scoring the winner against Brentford on Saturday night.

Arsenal made the short trip across London on Saturday and came back with all three points.

This wasn’t vintage Arsenal but they found the winner late on with Havertz heading home Bukayo Saka’s cross.

Arsenal saw Manchester City draw against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon and took full advantage, moving top of the Premier League with that 1-0 win.

This was a big moment for Havertz, who has come in for big criticism this season.

Arsenal showed big faith in the German with an expensive summer deal, luring him away from London rivals Chelsea.

Havertz hasn’t made a big impact yet but showed his class with a smart goal to give Arsenal all three points at Brentford.

Havertz took to Instagram to celebrate his goal, stating ‘BIG win on the road!! Thank you for all the support. Another big game to prepare for now.’

Havertz was inundated with messages from Arsenal teammates, who all showed their love after three vital points.

William Saliba, Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe and the aforementioned Saka all sent messages to Arsenal’s match-winner, showing their support for him.

Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Magalhaes, Leandro Trossard, Jurrien Timber and Oleksandr Zinchenko all followed suit, whilst Arsenal technical director Edu even joined in.

Folarin Balogun – sold by Arsenal over the summer – simply replied with a freezing emoji after a cold finish from Havertz.

Granit Xhaka sent his support and there was even a message from Julian Brandt, with the Borussia Dortmund ace stating ‘geil alter’ – loosely translating to ‘awesome dude’.

Reports earlier this month suggested that Arsenal were showing an interest in signing Brandt.

Havertz and Brandt have been close friends for a long time having played together at Bayer Leverkusen and we could yet see them join forces at Arsenal.
