Arsenal fans on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction after it emerged that they seemingly expressed interest in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
Sky Sports have reported that Villa’s star man is in demand with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, but they didn’t follow-up their interest.
Grealish scored the goal which kept his boyhood club in the Premier League last Sunday, with Arsenal beating Watford to help them along the way.
The report states that Villa are not looking to sell their playmaker and have seemingly valued him at a price above £80 million.
There are some Arsenal fans who would like Grealish at the Emirates given his talents, but the fee put on his head is off-putting, not forgetting that Arsenal aren’t a club who splash the cash without hesitation.
Grealish is no doubt on the rise and it won’t be long before he is playing for England, and for a club in the Champions League.
From Arsenal’s perspective, a deal for the 24-year-old does seem highly unlikely, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him move this summer despite the big price-tag put on his head.
