Stuart Dallas has suggested on Sky Sports PL (19/10/20 at 10:40 pm) that Leeds have to be on their toes on Friday night because Aston Villa are a team ‘full of confidence’ right now.

Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Monday night and Dallas made it clear that they can ‘take a lot’ from that encounter.

From one Midlands side to another, Marcelo Bielsa will now prepare for a Villa team who have a 100% start to the season and a side that have only conceded two goals.

Ahead of Friday’s match, Dallas stated that Leeds can ‘continue to learn’ no matter what situation they are in, as he shared his thoughts on ‘flying high’ Villa.

“You are learning every game, no matter where you are playing at and what level you are playing at then you will continue to learn,” Dallas told Sky Sports.

“We can take a lot from that [Wolves defeat] – and now we have to bounce back on Friday against a team who is flying high in the table. Full of confidence and playing really well.”

During their days in the Championship, both Leeds and Villa took part in some seriously entertaining, and at times, controversial encounters.

The game at Villa Park will bring back fond memories for the Leeds players because it’s the stadium in which they came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in stoppage time in 2018.

In that very same season, Bielsa also let Villa score during their game at Elland Road – both sides drew 1-1 during that match and weeks later, Villa went on to win the play-offs.
