Sean McGurk has told loaned-out Leeds United star, Charlie Cresswell, on his Instagram that he is ‘flying’ in the colours of Millwall this season.
The 20-year-old is on a season-long loan at the Den, as Gary Rowett’s side picked up all three points at home to Blackpool on Saturday.
Cresswell played on the left-side of a back three for the Championship club, as Millwall sit 13th in the table after ten league matches and they continue to have dreams of securing a top-six finish this term.
In terms of Millwall’s squad, they don’t have the riches of others and their team isn’t stacked with talent like many others, so it would be an overachievement if they secure a play-off spot.
But Cresswell, who played five Premier League games for injury-hit Leeds last season, has eight games under his belt this term, with three goals to his name and an assist.
Not bad going for someone playing out at the back, as he is showcasing a real knack for picking up important goals, as he reacted to yesterday’s game on his IG.
In the comments section, Cresswell’s fellow defender at Millwall George Evans labelled him ‘fantastic’, whilst rising English midfielder McGurk added ‘Flying big man’.

So far, it’s a tick in the box for Cresswell because he is looking the part in a gruelling league that can swallow you up like no man’s business.
It will be interesting to see what this means for his future at Elland Road and whether Jesse Marsch would be willing to throw him into the deep end next season.
Liam Cooper isn’t getting any younger and the 31-year-old is still having injury issues, so perhaps Cresswell will be nurtured into that role in 12 months’ time?
