Floyd Mayweather is set to return to boxing in 2026, according to recent reports.

The unbeaten legend, who finished his career with a 50-0 record, last fought professionally when he stopped Conor McGregor in August 2017.

Mayweather has since taken part in several exhibition bouts, including matches against Logan Paul, Deji, and Aaron Chalmers.

His last fight was a non-scored, eight-round bout against John Gotti III in August 2024.

The 48-year-old has now received an offer to face an old opponent he once controlled over the course of 36 minutes.

Andre Berto is open to Floyd Mayweather rematch, but not in boxing

Mayweather secured a comfortable win over Andre Berto in the second-to-last fight of his professional career. One judge even gave him every round of that bout.

Berto thinks that 10 years later, if they fought again under different rules, he could show more than he did the first time.

The 42-year-old backs himself to come out on top against Mayweather if they fight bare-knuckle or under Dirty Boxing rules.

When asked which of the two sports he would prefer for the rematch, Berto replied: “Either one of them.

“I’ve got a little bit more to me. Floyd likes to run around, try to box, and look all…”

“I wanna be able to grab his s— and hit him with some other s—.

“So, either one, to be honest. With him, he’s just so comfortable in the boxing ring.”

Berto continued: “Floyd, he talks a lot, but I know you for real. I’ve known Floyd since I was 16, and I know you’re really not like that.

“If we’re in a bar somewhere, I know you’re not like that for real. When it comes to that boxing ring, you’ve got all that safety around you, and all you have to do is look slick to get away with it.

“That’s a whole different situation, bro.”

Mayweather has reportedly agreed to an exhibition bout with Mike Tyson, scheduled for 2026.

The fight was first announced in September, but there has not been much follow-up since then.

At the moment, no date or venue has been set for Mayweather’s clash with Tyson.

One reason for the hold-up could be talks about an even bigger rematch with Manny Pacquiao.

The original Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in 2015 drew 4.4 million pay-per-view buys and brought in $410 million, making it the most profitable fight in history.

A decade later, a Netflix rematch is reportedly being taken seriously.

Whether Mayweather ends up fighting Tyson, Pacquiao, Berto, or someone else remains to be seen.

The only thing that seems certain is that ‘Money’ will step back into the ring at some point in 2026.
