Florent Malouda has told DAZN – as per Football London – that Chelsea should try to convince Tottenham star Harry Kane over a move to West London in the summer, with Kane left with a big decision to make in the coming months.
Kane, 29, was a bystander for much of Wednesday night as Spurs crashed out of the Champions League. While he worked hard, the England captain was afforded just one chance by his teammates – a header almost finding the net.
But after an FA Cup exit last week, and now crashing out of the Champions League, Tottenham are left only to fight for the top four of the Premier League. Antonio Conte looks set to go, and Kane’s contract will expire in June 2024.
Jamie Carragher has said that Manchester United are the only realistic club Kane would join. Indeed, Chelsea stand little chance of Champions League qualification this season. But, Malouda has urged his old club to move for Kane.

“If Kane ever leaves Tottenham, it will be because of the lack of trophies. Kane would be a great signing, but I’d be surprised if he left Tottenham for Chelsea because of the rivalry,” Malouda said this week, as per Football London.
“It’s not like leaving Tottenham for Arsenal, but to leave Tottenham for Chelsea, I’d be surprised but anything is possible. He’s a great option for any club in the Premier League, and for Chelsea he’d be a great pick.”
Malouda: Chelsea should try to convince Tottenham star Kane over move
Kane was visibly ‘frustrated’ when speaking to the media after Wednesday night’s result. Clearly, he knew that it was another season at Tottenham in which Spurs are not going to win any trophies. The top four is a trophy in itself.
Kane is a player that should be lifting silverware. He should be playing for a club right at the top of the footballing pyramid. Manchester City have Erling Haaland, he won’t go to Arsenal. Manchester United, the only realistic option.
