Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been a “flop” so far this season.
The former Tottenham striker has said that Richarlison has been the most expensive flop this campaign.
The Brazil international forward joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer of 2022.
As reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham paid an initial £50 million for the 25-year-old forward with a further £10 million in add-ons.
Richarlison has made seven starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Antonio Conte’s side so far this season.
The £175,000-a-week (SalarySport) Brazilian, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has not scored and has provided two assists in those games.
Richarlison has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Spurs so far this season.
The former Watford and Everton forward has scored two goals in those matches.

Darren Bent on Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison
Bent said about Richarlison: “At the moment, he is turning into the most expensive flop ever. £60 million? Okay, this season, this season. Listen, I would expect one goal.”
Disappointing
In our view, Richarlison has been a disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.
Now, we know that the Brazilian was going to find it hard to get into the starting lineup ahead of the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
However, when Richarlison has started matches for Spurs in the Premier League, he has not been very good in and around the penalty box.
Spurs fans, though, should stay positive.
We know what Richarlison is capable of.
And that he was leading the line for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup shows how good he is.
