Instead the 25-year-old has been sent out on loan to AC Milan, Stoke City and most recently two different spells with PSV Eindhoven, where he has now won two Eredivisie titles.

A flop in English football, Van Ginkel has been excellent for PSV this season, scoring 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions, but the reigning Dutch champions are unwilling to pay the asking price for the midfielder.
