‘Floored Adama Traore’: Some fans left impressed by Arsenal loanee’s performance

Newcastle United fans are liking what they are seeing from Arsenal loanee Joe Willock.

The 21-year-old has been a regular for the Magpies since Arsenal allowed him to leave temporarily in January.

On Saturday, relegation-threatened Newcastle recorded a 1-1 draw against Wolves, with Joelinton and Willock himself missing big opportunities to win the game.

Whilst Newcastle fans are annoyed that their team missed such big chances to secure all three points, in the overall grand scheme of things, Willock is impressing.

Both Willock and his fellow Arsenal academy product, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who also moved out on loan in January to West Brom, may find themselves battling for that final survival spot.

At this moment in time, Willock’s side are hovering above the drop zone, whilst West Brom are in a mess and sitting in the bottom three, but they did record a valuable three points at the weekend to boost those chances.

Nonetheless, Willock’s energy, forward-thinking ways and drive seems to be coming out in the Newcastle shirt.

Some were even impressed that he managed to floor Wolves speedster, Adama Traore, during the game, but he will still be disappointed with the role he played in Ruben Neves’ equaliser.
