Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Jude Bellingham echoed the thoughts of Jürgen Klopp in regards to the COVID-19 vaccine.

What’s the story?

Well, the Borussia Dortmund wonderkid believes every footballer should have both jabs and the booster to protect themselves and others against COVID-19.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Bellingham said: “I’ve had both jabs and the booster, just to be safe. I don’t want to be passing anything on to my family and be having to miss games myself. I want everyone to be safe, so I’d probably advise them to get it.”

The 18-year-old’s comments come after Klopp spoke passionately about the need for players – and everyone for that matter – to take the vaccine.

Interestingly, the German believes taking the vaccine should be mandatory from “a moral point of view” as he revealed 99% of his squad have been jabbed.

The 54-year-old even said he wouldn’t sign unvaccinated players.

Now, given the short space of time between Klopp and Bellingham’s comments, some Liverpool supporters have taken an interest.

One fan pitched the theory that Bellingham heard Klopp wouldn’t sign unvaccinated players, so made sure to let everyone know he’s been jabbed.

Will Liverpool sign Jude Bellingham?

Well, there’s still a long way to go, but in light of Klopp’s comments, the fact Bellingham has been jabbed ticks one box at least.

According to the Mirror, Klopp wants the 10-cap England international at Anfield, and is making plans to sign him.

Borussia Dortmund have slapped a £90m price tag on their No.22’s head, which Liverpool are said to be happy to meet.

It would see the Reds smash their club-record transfer fee, which remains the £75m deal to bring Virgil van Dijk to Merseyside from Southampton.

In our view, Bellingham is worth the money – in fact, he’s worth at least £100m.

This is a midfielder who has it all, and also has more than a decade remaining at the highest level in football.

Liverpool would certainly get value for money.

For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Bellingham’s comments on the COVID-19 vaccine…
