Fleetwood Town defender Conor McLaughlin is believed to be a target for Leeds United.
Fleetwood Town manager Stephen Pressley has already admitted that his side could lose Leeds United target Conor McLaughlin this summer.
When commenting to the Blackpool Gazzette, Pressley stated that McLaughlin could leave if a bid of a significant amount came in.
“He has one more year before his contract runs out and we have to take that into consideration,” the Scottish boss said last month.
“These things have to be done right. If it (the right offer) happens, we do have to know our options.
“We are aware of that and we have to be ready for that possibility.”
Leeds are said to be willing to meet Fleetwood’s asking price for McLaughlin, and could launch a bid in the near future.
The Whites see the Northern Ireland international as a player who could be a valuable addition to their squad.
McLaughlin is a key player for Fleetwood, but he has just one-year left on his contract at the League One club.
A host of Championship clubs are said to be chasing McLaughlin, but Leeds are reportedly at the head of the queue.
If McLaughlin does move to Leeds he will be in competition with both Gaetano Berardi and Lewie Coyle for a place in Garry Monk’s first-team.
