Glen Johnson told the Weekend Preview that Leeds are ‘very easy’ to play against and their 5-2 win against Newcastle this week ‘flattered’ them.

Years and years away from the wilderness, Leeds will finally lock horns against their bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League today and they go to Old Trafford on the back of a big win.

Not only did Marcelo Bielsa’s side score five against a previously difficult to break down Newcastle team, but they did it in style.

However, Sky Sports pundit and ex-England right-back, Johnson, seemingly had other ideas about that result ahead of their Manchester United showdown.

“You can also get at them very easy,” said Johnson. “Newcastle, they didn’t play well at all but scored two goals.

“Against a better team, I think the result flattered Leeds put it that way.”

Whilst the broadcasters like to hype up certain games in the Premier League that have more drama in the build-up than the game itself, this fixture is entirely different.

There will certainly be bite and needle to this match and it’s something the Premier League has missed and needs.

Victory here for Leeds and it will live long in the memory bank for those in Yorkshire, and given how they drive and attack teams, it will be a surprise if both teams don’t manage to score today.
