Simon Jordan has not been endearing himself to Liverpool supporters.
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has taunted Liverpool by insisting they cannot attract top players.
The Reds have hit brick walls in their pursuits of defender Virgil van Dijk and midfielder Naby Keita this summer, with Southampton and RB Leipzig resistant to selling even at fees of £60 million plus.

Jordan, outspoken as ever, commented on Twitter that top players do not want to sign for the Reds, and said that if Tottenham wanted either Van Dijk or Keita – they would choose the North London side instead.
Jordan believes that despite the huge fees being commanded for both players, Liverpool are still setting their sights low.
Where he is correct is that Liverpool cannot compete for the Neymar’s or the Kylian Mbappe’s of this world, who only the mega-rich can sign.
But suggesting Van Dijk or Keita would immediately snub the Reds for Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City or Arsenal if they showed an interest is disrespectful to manager Jurgen Klopp and the pull he has in attracting players to the club.
