Nottingham Forest are keen to sign Bakary Sako after trying to buy him from Wolves five years ago.

Nottingham Forest are keen on signing free agent Bakary Sako, The Sun reported at the weekend.
The paper’s Sunday addition (9/9 p63) report that Aitor Karanka is keen on a move for the winger as he continues his prolific recruitment policy.
In the case of Sako it makes a lot of sense, and would see Forest sign a player they were desperate to recruit five years ago.
This was when Sako was at Wolves, and manager Kenny Jackett had to battle to keep his focus amid interest from Forest.
Forest had ‘several bids’ rejected for Sako, SkySports reported at the time.
Sako even admitted to being unsettled, stating: “They came back again and it did affect me a little bit, which is probably normal in the situation.”

This came in the wake of Wolves’ relegation to League One.
Their resolve to keep hold of the winger paid off, as he scored 12 goals to fire Wolves to promotion.
He scored another 15 goals in the Championship before quitting on a free transfer and signing with Crystal Palace.
His spell in the Premier League can be classed as underwhelming by his own standards, scoring only five times.
Sako’s best year was last season before it was cut short due to injury.
Forest need to hope they are getting back the player who once terrorised Championship defences, and not a player whose better days are behind him.
Sako if he signs should be invested to show he is worth the wait.
