Celtic are sure to be keeping a close eye on the World Cup for potential transfer targets.

In this article we take a look at five players who Celtic should be keeping an eye on at the World Cup, as they could be great additions to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
Massimo Luongo (Australia)

Luongo will link up with Celtic’s Tom Rogic at international level in Russia, and the Queens Park Rangers man could be a good addition for the Bhoys in the summer.
A superb passer, Luongo would fit in well with Rodgers’ style, and with his future at Loftus Road in doubt, he could well be on Celtic’s radar.
Sardar Azmoun (Iran)

Azmoun has already been linked with a move to Celtic, and boasts an impressive record at international level.
The Rubin Kazan striker has netted 23 goals in 31 appearances for his country, and Celtic will almost certainly be wanting to keep an eye on his performances.
Joel Campbell (Costa Rica)

Another player with a current Celtic man as a teammate in his national squad in the form of Cristian Gamboa, Campbell could make an excellent addition to Rodgers’ side.
The former Arsenal man is a powerful forward, who has scored goals in a number of different leagues across Europe, and could increase Rodgers’ side’s scoring threat.
Ki Sung-Yueng (South Korea)

Ki is well known to Celtic fans, having played for them between 2009 and 2012.
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and would surely be welcomed back at Parkhead with open arms.
Matz Sels (Belgium)

Likely to be sold by Newcastle this summer, Sels could prove to be an upgrade on Celtic’s current goalkeeping options, if his form in Belgium has been anything to go by.
