Five West Ham players in Liverpool combined XI ahead of crucial clash: Who makes the cut?

Struggling West Ham United entertain Liverpool in what could be a crucial match on Saturday given fixtures elsewhere.

With several teams in and around the top half playing each other Liverpool can gain ground with a win at fragile West Ham, who know defeat will almost certainly leave them in the relegation zone.

The Hammers have endured a terrible start with just two wins from the opening 10 games and surrendered a 2-0 lead at Crystal Palace last time out to draw 2-2 in the 97th minute.

It is form which has led to intense speculation over the future of beleaguered manager Slaven Bilic.

Liverpool are already 12 points behind title favourites Manchester City down in sixth following an inconsistent start to the season.

But Jurgen Klopp’s side can push on into the Champions League places with a win and look to be back in form after their 3-0 victory over Huddersfield last time out.

Given their respective positions in the table it might be assumed that a combined XI ahead of the match at the London Stadium would be all Red.

But the Hammers and the Reds are not without their issues and suffer with a lack of balance.
