England drew 1-1 against Denmark in Germany in their second game of the European Championships at the Frankfurt Arena.
Gareth Southgate’s side struck first in the first half thanks to a tap in from Harry Kane, for his first goal at this summer’s competition.
Denmark, however, weren’t giving up without a fight and struck 35 minutes into the game through a stunning goal from Morten Hjulmand.
After England switched off for a second, the Sporting Lisbon midfielder struck a beauty from 30 yards out which went in off the post.

Harry Kane nets for England
It wouldn’t be a major tournament for Southgate’s England without a goal from Kane.
After failing to really get involved in the opening game against Serbia, Kane was right in the thick of things here as he netted from close range in the first half.
After good work from Kyle Walker on the right, he cut the ball back to Bukayo Saka, but the ball eventually found it’s way to Kane who had an easy tap in.
That was tournament goal number 13 for Kane and his 63rd for the national team.
Hjulmand scores outrageous equaliser
After the England goal, Southgate’s side, once again, seemed to drop off and go into their shell which allowed their opponents to grow in confidence.
After a dispossession in the middle of the park, Sporting Lisbon midfielder Hjulmand took a couple of touches before firing into the corner.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford had no chance with the effort which was the first goal that the Three Lions have conceded in the group stage of a major tournament since Gareth Bale’s freekick in 2016.
Phil Foden on the left does not work
Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden won the Premier League Player Of The Year award and looked set to be in for a key tournament in Germany.
However, so far after two group games for England, Foden has looked invisible off the left and Southgate has to make a decision on the City midfielder.
Foden’s qualities are clear but the Englishman cannot continue to play off the left as this seems to stifle the Three Lions.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s position
There has been much debate about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s position in the team with Southgate choosing to play the Liverpool defender in the middle of the park.
After a poor showing against Serbia, the Liverpool man was kept in the same role for the game against Denmark but it just did not work.
Declan Rice would drop deep and Alexander-Arnold looked like he didn’t know what he was meant to be doing in the middle of the park.
Southgate has options to change things and it is vital that he does so going forward in the tournament.
England’s pressing problem
Throughout the game, Denmark were pressing as a team and on multiple occasions did not allow the Three Lions out of their own half.
As for England, the press looks disjointed and Harry Kane was struggling, despite netting the games opening goal.
It was certainly a surprise to see Kane get substituted for Ollie Watkins on the 70 minute mark but it was the right decision made by Southgate.
England take on Slovenia in their final group game on Tuesday.
