Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are in action away from Ibrox on Wednesday evening.

Five senior players started Rangers’ reserve team fixture against Greenock Morton on Wednesday afternoon, according to a post by @rfcyouthupdates on Twitter.
First-team regulars Gareth McAuley, Jon Flanagan and Glenn Middleton were each named in the Gers’ starting XI, alongside January recruits, Matt Polster and Glen Kamara.
And the quintet’s involvement is sure to cast doubt on their chances of playing in Rangers’ clash with Aberdeen later on Wednesday.
McAuley, Flanagan and Middleton have each struggled for minutes since the turn of the year, with only McAuley featuring on more than one occasion in 2019, but have still appeared in recent matchday 18s.
Polster and Kamara only arrived at Rangers late in the window, however, and are likely to have to prove their fitness below the Gers’ first team, initially.
Steven Gerrard’s side will surrender second place if they lose at Pittodrie later.
Rangers fans – which of the quintet would you have taken to Aberdeen?
