Both Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers head into Tuesday’s Championship fixture in the bottom-three. Before these two struggling sides meet, let’s take a look at their last five fixtures against each other.

Leeds 1-2 Blackburn (Championship – 1st January, 2014)

First half goals from Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede gave Blackburn all three points at Elland Road. Both assists came from former Leeds academy midfielder Tom Cairney – on loan at Blackburn from Hull City. The result kept both sides just outside of the play-off places as the New Year began.

Blackburn 2-1 Leeds (Championship – 22nd November, 2014)

A late goal from Jordan Rhodes gave ten-man Blackburn a victory over 16th placed Leeds. This time around, Tom Cairney was almost the villain, after being sent-off in the 82nd minute for a second bookable offence. Blackburn held on and the win saw them leapfrog Watford into a play-off position.

Leeds 0-3 Blackburn (Championship – 4th April, 2015)

Blackburn left Elland Road with all three points, as Leeds captain Rudy Austin was sent-off in the first half. Goals from Tom Cairney, Jordan Rhodes and Jay Spearing piled the pressure on Leeds’ boss Neil Redfearn – who had his assistant coach, Steve Thompson, suspended by the club earlier in the week.

Leeds 0-2 Blackburn (Championship – 29th October, 2015)

Blackburn once again came away from Elland Road as winners, after storming to a two-goal lead in the first six minutes. Craig Conway and Jordan Rhodes scored the goals to move Blackburn above Leeds in the table. It also meant newly-appoint Leeds boss, Steve Evans, continued his winless start at the club.

Blackburn 1-2 Leeds (Championship – 12th March, 2016)

Leeds finally ended their terrible run of results against Blackburn with a victory at Ewood Park. Sol Bamba and Mirco Antenucci put Leeds into a two-goal led, as they held out under the pressure of a late Simeon Jackson goal. It ended a run of four wins at home for Paul Lambert’s Blackburn side.
