The Premier League returns this weekend after the international break. Here are five betting tips for the weekend’s action.

Chelsea to win at Tottenham at 17/10 with Blue Square

Chelsea find themselves in a position they may not have expected before the start of the season. They are four points clear at the top of the table and have a superb away record of two wins and one draw. They have only conceded one goal so far in the league and John Terry will be fresh after he did not travel with the England team due to retirement. The fact Chelsea are not favourites is too good to ignore.

Reading to steal a draw at Liverpool at 4/1 with William Hill

Although Liverpool have played some of the best football in the Premier League this season, they have been inconsistent. They are yet to win a game at home with two draws and two defeats. Reading will be looking to add to the one point they have secured away from home this season. They have scored four goals away from home which is as many goals as Chelsea.

Robin Van Persie to score at any time against Stoke at evens with Coral

Robin Van Persie has come into the Manchester United side and had an immediate effect. He scored for Holland during the week and already has five goals in the league for United this season. The Dutchman is one of the most dangerous players that United have at their disposal and they will need to use him as Stoke will try and outmuscle United in every area of the pitch.

Newcastle to beat Sunderland at 19/10 with Coral

This is one of the first big derbies of the season as Newcastle travel away to neighbours Sunderland looking to cause an upset. Newcastle have managed only two points from a possible nine when they have played away from home which is a record they will be looking to improve. Sunderland are yet to lose at home but they have hardly been prolific with two goals scored and one conceded meaning they are vulnerable.

Everton to beat QPR at 5/4 with Bet365

Everton have started the season in fine form and they will be looking for a win which could put them as high as second if other results go their way. It’s amazing that Everton are not odds on considering that QPR have only scored one goal at home this season. They will have to work very hard for the win as QPR know three points could lift them out of the bottom three.
