As the Blues prepare for a return to Champions League football next season, Chelsea have already begun reshaping their squad, and these five additions could take them to the next level.

As Chelsea’s hunt for stability continues, the summer transfer window is set to be busy once again at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues’ season ended on a high, lifting the Conference League trophy, but was riddled with inconsistency. It’s clear the club needs a targeted rebuild focused on youth and structure.

Chelsea will want to sign more forwards and centre-backs for squad reinforcement. And with Mykhaylo Mudryk expected to be out of the squad for a while, a left winger will also be needed to fill his place.

Rodrygo

Chelsea are reportedly keen on Rodrygo as they look to strengthen their options out wide, with uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho and Mudryk.

The club have already made contact with the Real Madrid star according to GOAL, viewing him as a potential addition on the left. While he typically plays on the right, Rodrygo’s versatility makes him an attractive option.

At 24, he’s racked up 267 appearances and 68 goals for Real Madrid, winning two Champions League titles. His experience in major competitions would bring much-needed quality and composure to Chelsea’s attack, especially ahead of their Champions League return.

Benjamin Šeško

Chelsea have been linked with Benjamin Šeško for some time, and with the striker reportedly open to a summer transfer, this could be the perfect time for the West London side to make a move.

The 21-year-old has impressed at RB Leipzig, scoring 21 goals in all competitions last season and showcasing the kind of finishing ability that Chelsea have lacked through the middle.

With Nicolas Jackson still inconsistent and Christopher Nkunku likely making a summer move, Šeško offers a more clinical option for a modern No.9 and could thrive in Enzo Maresca’s system.

Kobbie Mainoo

Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on Kobbie Mainoo, who broke through at Manchester United last season with standout performances in midfield.

At just 19, Mainoo impressed with his composure. According to talkSPORT, Mainoo is unsure of his role at United and Chelsea could test the waters to try and sign the midfielder after a rocky season.

It would be a bold move, but one that fits Chelsea’s strategy of investing in young, Premier League-proven talent.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Chelsea have monitored Jarrad Branthwaite for a couple of seasons now, suggesting they could finally make a move this summer.

The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign at Goodison Park, earning praise for his aerial strength and ability to play out from the back, which would suit Enzo Maresca’s style of play.

With questions around Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill, Chelsea need depth and long-term options in central defence.

Everton’s financial situation could force a sale, and Chelsea may see this as the ideal time to move for one of the Premier League’s most promising young defenders.

Hugo Ekitike

After a difficult spell at PSG, Hugo Ekitike has rebuilt momentum at Eintracht Frankfurt after being left out of PSG’s 23/24 squad.

At only 22, the French striker brings flair and a strong physical presence. He’s capable of operating as a traditional No.9 or in a more fluid attacking setup.

With Chelsea looking for attacking reinforcements and squad depth for a packed European schedule, Ekitike could be a smart option.

If Liverpool are unable to come to a deal, Chelsea may see an opportunity to land a high-upside forward at the right price.

With expectations rising under Maresca, these five signings could be the foundation of something far more stable at Stamford Bridge.
