Arsenal have some very talented young players on their books.

Arsenal have some exciting youngsters at their disposal and manager Arsene Wenger has used the Europa League and the Carabao Cup this season to given opportunities to several of the club’s standout prospects.

Here are five Arsenal youngsters who have a chance of making the breakthrough to the first-team:

Reiss Nelson

Undoubtedly Arsenal’s best young talent at present, Nelson is most effective as an attacking midfielder but he has often been deployed as a right wing-back for the first-team.

A skillful and direct player, the England U19 international poses a threat in front of goal and is improving with his link-up play and defensive contributions.

Eddie Nketiah

The hero when he emerged off the bench to score a brace against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup last month, Nketiah has been finding the net with regularity for Arsenal at various youth levels in recent seasons.

Although his main position is up front, Nketiah is also capable of playing on the left flank if required and is a very hard-working player.

Ben Sheaf

Previously a midfielder, Sheaf joined Arsenal from West Ham United’s academy in 2014 and has developed into a composed centre-back.

Excellent in possession, the 19-year-old frequently ventures forwards and make his senior debut against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League last month.

Emile Smith Rowe

Part of England’s successful U17 World Cup winning squad, Smith Rowe is a highly rated winger who has impressed for Arsenal at U18 level.

He has recently become increasingly involved at U23 level and is being used in different positions, such as central-midfield and left wing-back, to enhance his overall understanding of the game.

Trae Coyle

Another creative talent, Coyle is at his best when playing as an attacking midfielder and is capable of splitting defences with precise through balls.

Just back from injury, he trained with the first-team during the international break and will hope to get into the U23 squad before the end of the campaign.
