Hull City may currently be in the bottom three of the Premier League, but it seems likely that many supporters would have taken being just one point off safety with 13 games to go given the chaos that appeared to be going on before the campaign had even begun.

With that in mind, here are five players who can be proud of their form so far and have perhaps been crucial to the Tigers giving themselves themselves a chance of survival…

Tom Huddlestone

Few players in the Hull City squad are as reliable as Tom Huddlestone. His consistency has been hugely important to the Tigers. And he will surely be one of the players who will look to galvanise the squad in their fight to beat the drop.

Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire is arguably establishing himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in the Premier League this term. The 23-year-old will surely be playing in the top flight for a number of years to come.

Andrew Robertson

Though his defensive displays are going to be crucial over the coming months, it will be the threat he offers going forward that could prove to be the difference as to whether Hull stay up or not. He is excellent at getting down the line and putting a dangerous ball in.

Sam Clucas

Sam Clucas has been the perfect player to have amongst a Hull squad that has been struggling for numbers for much of the campaign, due to his versatility and consistency. It is incredible to think that he was playing non-league football in 2013.

Eldin Jakupovic

The 32-year-old has been excellent in the 10 games he has played. Jakupovic has kept clean sheets against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool recently, and has saved a handful of points with a string of fine stops.
