The Toffees should consider perhaps one of these five to finalise their squad.
The Transfer Window is shut but that does not necessarily mean that business is over.
The free agent market is booming with plenty of options across Europe.
So who should Everton be looking at? Here are five potential options.
Yoann Gourcuff
Everton have just lost Tom Cleverley to injury and already have the likes of Leon Osman and Darron Gibson who are prone to a niggling injury.
The former Lyon man is also injury prone, but above all gifted and has been wanting an English move for years.
Everton would do well to bring him in.
Jonathan
Everton are still weak at right-back. If Seamus Coleman is injured, they have limited options.
This Brazilian, who also holds an Italian passport, spent four years at Inter Milan and is full of pedigree – although a return to Brazil looks likely.
Luke Wilkshire
If Jonathan doesn’t take their fancy than perhaps Australian veteran Luke Wilshire could do the job.
The former Bristol City man has played in Europe with the likes of FC Twente, Dynamo Moscow and Feyenoord and has over 80 caps for Australia.
Ondrej Mazuch
Everton could do with another centre-back, despite the signing of Ramiro Funes Mori. Whilst Ron Vlaar is undoubtedly the number one option on the list, he is out injured until the New Year.
Instead this Czech Republic international, who helped Dnipro to the Europa League final last season, might be a good affordable back-up option.
Kevin Nolan
Recently released by West Ham the midfielder still has plenty to offer in the Premier League. A Toxteth lad, could The Toffees bring him home – even though he is a Red.
