Marco Silva and Everton will be vying for European football next season as they prepare to make their mark during the summer transfer window.
Everton are interested in the signature of FC Nordsjaelland player Mohammed Kudus and have started negotiations over a potential transfer, according to GhanaWeb.
It is said that Premier League side Everton are yet to agree upon a deal for the teenage sensation, who plys his trade in the Danish Super League.
Marco Silva will be hoping for a very productive transfer window this summer because he will be keen on building on Everton’s top-eight finish from last season.
The reported interest in Kudus will result in the Goodison Park faithful asking many questions about who he is considering he plays in a relatively unknown league. Therefore, here are five facts about the talented teenager:
1. The 18-year-old has thus far played for one club during his short career – FC Nordsjaelland – where he came through the reserves before making an impression last term.
2. Kudus is of Ghanian decent and is yet to represent his country on a more senior level, but he has played for Ghana’s under age groups, most recently the U-20’s.
3. Last season, he was deployed in two positions by his club – in midfield and up front. He did this for the first-team and the reserves, which indicated that he is yet to showcase what his best role in the team is.
4. Albeit briefly, the versatile player has also played in European competitions. The teenager played in two Europa League qualifiers for FC Nordsjaelland last season – they lost both encounters against Partizan home and away [transfermarkt].
