Spanish side Cultural Leonesa are reportedly keen on Leeds United coach Carlos Corberan.

Leeds United’s Under-23’s coach Carlos Corberan is reportedly attracting interest from Cultural Leonesa, who want him to be their first-team manager.
The Yorkshire Evening Post have claimed that Cultural Leonesa have approached English Championship side Leeds for Corberan’s services.
It is said that Corberan is weighing up his current options as the Spanish club are aiming to tempt him to make a return to his homeland by offering him the senior managerial role.
Here we will take a look at five facts about the club that is reportedly keen on prising away one of the brains behind Leeds’ rise under Marcelo Bielsa last season:
1. Cultural Leonesa are a Spanish club based in the northwest of Spain and they currently ply their trade in the third tier of Spanish football – Segunda Division B.
2. They have only spent one season in Spain’s top-flight and that was during the 1955/56 season. Added with that, the last time they were in the second tier was in the 70’s as they have yo-yo’d between the third tier and four tiers for some time. So, if Corberan does make the switch then he will have a big task on his hands.

3. Cultural Leonesa’s stadium capacity is just over 13,000, in comparison Leeds United’s Elland Road holds just under 38,000 fans.
4. During the recently concluded season, Cultural finished fifth in the league, and just like Leeds, they missed out on promotion to the next league.
5. As mentioned in the above report, the Spanish club are controlled by Qatar’s Aspire Academy, who established an official partnership with Leeds’ development centre in 2018.
