Leeds are being linked with a move for Pablo Hernandez.

Leeds United have added a host of new faces this summer – but there may yet be another new signing arriving before the Championship kick-off.
New manager Garry Monk has snapped up the likes of Robert Green, Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes, Kemar Roofe, Hadi Sacko and Marcus Antonsson, and now he’s being linked with another addition to his squad.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported over the weekend that Leeds have an interest in signing Pablo Hernandez, who is currently playing in Qatar with Al-Arabi.
Whilst something of a big-name player, some Leeds fans may not be too familiar with Hernandez – so here are five facts about the player as he is targeted for a move to Elland Road…
1. Hernandez, now 31, came up through the ranks with Valencia, and more than 150 appearances in two spells with the La Liga giants, even scoring seven goals in 33 European games.
2. Hernandez has four Spain caps to his name, and was even a part of Spain’s 2009 Confederations Cup squad, finishing third in the competition.
3. The Spaniard may be familiar to some having spent two years at Swansea City in the Premier League, playing alongside now-Leeds boss Monk – meaning it would be something of a reunion for the duo should Hernandez make the move to Elland Road.
4. Currently on the books with Al-Arabi, Hernandez spent last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano, and whilst he hit three goals and four assists, he couldn’t prevent Rayo from suffering relegation from La Liga.
5. Hernandez predominantly plays as a winger, where he can use his pace and dribbling ability, but can also play as a playmaker, which would give Leeds another exciting attacking option.
