With the transfer window open there is much speculation regarding potential new arrivals at West Ham United.
One player who has been linked with West Ham is Leander Dendoncker, with David Moyes’ side set to rival Manchester United in the battle to sign the Anderlecht midfielder, as reported by The Sun.
Here are five facts about Dendoncker.
1) Dendoncker played a crucial part as Anderlecht won the Belgian title last season – he made 30 appearances in the league and produced some excellent displays.

2) A full Belgium international, Dendoncker has been capped by his country on four occasions since making his debut in 2015 and will hope to be included in Roberto Martinez’s squad for next summer’s World Cup finals.
3) Dendoncker is a versatile player. Although he is usually deployed as a defensive midfielder, he has much experience of playing at centre-back and has also featured as an attacking midfielder.

4) The 22-year-old has a strong association with Anderlecht, having joined the club as an academy player in 2009. He has gone on to make over 150 senior appearances.
5) In addition to his excellent passing, another of Dendoncker’s key strengths is his physicality, which means that he should be well suited to playing in the Premier League.
