John Mahon has been linked with both Celtic and Rangers today.

According to The Express (19 February, page 47), Sligo Rovers defender John Mahon is a target for both Celtic and Rangers this summer.
Both sides are bound to be in the market for new signings this summer, and they appear to be keen on centre back Mahon.
It’s understood that he would prefer a move to Celtic, and that may well be possible given that the Bhoys will lose Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic this summer.
Old Firm fans may not be too familiar with Mahon, so here are five facts about the defender ahead of a possible move to Glasgow.
1. Mahon, 19, was born in Sligo and decided to begin his career with hometown club Sligo Rovers before making a first team breakthrough.
2. Despite being a teenager, Mahon was a regular with 24 appearances last season, scoring one goal.

3. The defender penned a new two-and-a-half year deal with Sligo in June 2018, meaning he is contracted to Sligo until the end of 2020.
4. The centre back was called up to a Republic of Ireland Under-21 training camp by new boss Stephen Kenny last month, and he will now be looking for consistent caps.
5. Standing at 6ft 1in tall, Mahon isn’t the biggest of centre backs, but he has at least showed a turn of pace with Sligo.
