The Algeria international has been linked with Newcastle United.

Newcastle United’s current wide options aren’t exactly inspiring and it isn’t surprising that the club are reportedly seeking to bolster their resources in that area of the pitch.
As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, Newcastle are interested in signing Mohamed Fares from Hellas Verona.
Here are five facts about the 21-year-old.

1) Fares’ versatility is certainly one of his key assets. This season he has played as a striker, a left-back and a left winger in Serie A and has looked comfortable wherever he has been deployed.
2) Despite being born in France, Fares is a senior Algeria international having made his debut in the World Cup qualifying defeat to Cameroon in October.
3) Fares spent time in the youth ranks at Bordeaux before making the switch to Hellas Verona in January 2013.

4) The winger signed a new contract with Hellas Verona last summer that is set to run until the summer of 2021, with the fact that he is tied to a long-term deal likely to increase his possible transfer fee.
5) Fares has missed Hellas Verona’s last three games due to a knee injury but he is likely to be back available soon and would be ready to make an instant impact for Newcastle if he did join.
