Newcastle United have signed Gael Bigirimana on a five-year-deal. What can we tell you about him?
Here are five facts…
1) Bigirimana is just 18, and was bought from Coventry City. He made 16 starts for the Sky Blues in the Championship last season plus 10 substitute appearances.
2) He is a defensive midfielder, and will join Mehdi Abeid as back-up for Cheik Tiote in the Toon squad, and the deal could add up to £1 million.
3) He was born in the African country of Burundi, and moved to the UK as a refugee in 2004 with his family when he was 12.
4) Bigirimana is eligible to play international football for four countries; Burundi, Congo, England and Uganda.
5) He was selected for the Championship Apprentice of the Year award this season, following in the footsteps of Sean Scannell and Connor Wickham.
