Leeds United did not add another striker on transfer deadline day, but they did manage to add one more midfielder to their squad.

They completed a deal to sign Eunan O’Kane with Bournemouth, with the new addition signing a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, The BBC reported.

So what do fans need to know about the new signing?

Here are five facts about Eunan O’Kane…

1) O’Kane is 26-years-old and has experience playing in the Premier League, making 16 appearances last season in total – but his last game was back in April.

2) The midfielder is a Republic of Ireland international – although did not make the Euro 2016 squad, but represented Northern Ireland at youth level through to the under-21s.

3) He signed for Bournemouth in 2012 from Torquay United, but began his career in Everton’s academy.

4) Former Leeds boss Steve Evans described him as a ‘talented young man’ back in 2012, admitting that while he admired him, he could not afford to bring him to Rotherham. [via SkySports] This was after a campaign in which he scored five goals for Torquay.

5) Bournemouth will not receive the full fee for O’Kane, with former club Torquay set to receive a 15 per cent sell on clause, the Plymouth Herald report.
