As reported by L’Equipe, Leeds are said to be closing in on the signing of Michaël Cuisance from Bayern Munich, despite interest from Marseille, OGC Nice and Newcastle.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men are chasing the prospect valued at €20 million (£18 million) if L’Equipe’s report is to be believed, as they look to add more creativity to their midfield ranks.
You might argue that Leeds don’t need much more creativity seeing as they’ve scored eight goals in their first three Premier League games.
However, when a talent such as Cuisance is on the market, it’s hard to turn a blind eye to his availability.
How much do you know about the talented Frenchman, though?

Here are five facts about the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach player…
1. He’s been likened to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil. The Bundesliga’s official website cited Cuisance’s set-piece expertise, wand of a left foot and his vast tricks as comparable traits to the German playmaker.
2. Cuisance was born in Straßburg, but moved to Germany as a 17-year-old when joining Borussia Monchengladbach from Nancy Under-19s – a huge decision for a teenager to make.
3. The Leeds target became Borussia Monchengladbach’s youngest-ever Bundesliga starter when he was named in the starting XI aged 18 years and 45 days.
4. Cuisance already has a glorious trophy cabinet. At just 21 years of age, he has won the Bundesliga, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the DFB-Pokal.
5. The Bayern Munich prodigy helped France reach the last 16 of the Under-20 World Cup in 2019, scoring two goals and assisting another in just four games.
