Leeds United have been linked with making a surprise move for defender Tom Beugelsdijk.
The Daily Mail reported that Garry Monk sent scouts to watch Beugelsdijk in action last week, and is weighing up a move.
So who is Tom Beugelsdijk and what do fans need to know about him?
Here are five facts about the potential new addition…
1) Beugelsdijk is a 26-years-old centre-back who plays for Dutch Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag.
2) He has played in three countries in his career, in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League with FC Dordrecht and in Germany’s Bundesliga for Frankfurt.
3) He has a contract until 2018 and has been an ever present so far this season for Den Haag, scoring once.
4) Early in his career in his first spell at Den Haag he featured in a couple of heavy defeats to PSV, with his team beaten both 6-1 and 7-0.
5) When he was a free agent two years ago he came close to moving to England, with the Birmingham Mail reporting at the time that Lee Clark had attempted to bring him to Birmingham City.
