The Toffees are being linked with a move for the 18-year-old.
France Football is linking Everton with a move for Monaco teenager Irvin Cardona.
The Toffees have made a number of youthful recruits in recent seasons – one of whom, David Henen, is a former Monaco loanee – and according to the report, are eyeing Cardona next.
Henen is another to have spent time at the principality club
But what do we know about the Frenchman? Here are five facts:
5) Born in Nimes on 8 August 1997, Cardona is a striker for Monaco Under-19s. The right-footer is a prolific scorer at youth level and was on target in the recent Coupe Gambardella final victory against RC Lens.
4) He has also won three caps for France Under-18s, where he counts Arsenal’s Ismael Bennacer among his teammates, but is yet to get off the mark at that level.
3) Despite his promise, Cardona has not yet featured for Monaco – the club at which David Trezeguet, Thierry Henry and Anthony Martial made their names.
Trezeguet made his name at the Stade Louis II
2) He is out of contract at the Stade Louis II next summer, which means he could be approached over a pre-contract agreement from 1 January, 2017.
1) Everton could face competition for Cardona, with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keen.
French champs PSG could give the Toffees a run for their money
