Arsenal are reported to have enquired after the Venezuelan international.
What can we tell you about him?
1) Rondon plays for Spanish big spenders Malaga and is a 22-year-old striker who scored 11 times last season.
2) He signed with Malaga in 2010 for 3.5 million Euros from Spanish second division side Las Palmas, who had signed him a year earlier from his homeland where he made his professional debut aged 17.
3) He was Malaga’s top scorer in the 2010/11 season with 13 goals, helping them fight off relegation. The club are now owned by rich Middle Eastern owners, who have bought in new players as competition, one of who last year was Ruud van Nistelrooy.
4) Rondon was one of the stars of the FIFA under-20 World Cup in 2009, scoring four goals for Venezuela in the tournament.
5) He made his full international debut age just 18 a year earlier, and has scored seven times, includes three in his last two games. He netted an equaliser in a World Cup qualifier to earn a draw with Uruguay on Saturday.
