Arsenal are reported to be interested in a new cheaper alternative to Yann M’Vila.
What can we tell you about him?
1) Etienne Capoue is 23 and plays as a defensive midfielder for French side Toulouse.
2) In 33 games this season he has three goals and four assists, compared to M’Vila’s two assists and no goals in 38 appearances.
3) Unlike M’Vila, he is still uncapped by France, although he has represented them at under-18, under-19 and under-21 level, where he captained the team.
4) In 2008-09 he was awarded with the Ligue One Young Player of the Year award for his breakthrough performances
5) His older brother Aurelien Capoue plays international football for Guadeloupe. Etienne was called up by them too but held off on the opportunity as he still harbours ambitions of playing for France.
