Tottenham Hotspur have some very talented youngsters at their disposal, with a fresh batch of starlets hoping to follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane and Harry Winks by going on to make the breakthrough into the first-team squad.
Here’s a look at five of Tottenham’s standout youngsters:
Marcus Edwards
Effective whether deployed as a winger or an attacking midfielder, Edwards has long been identified as a player who is capable of thriving at Tottenham.
Edwards made his senior Tottenham debut against Gillingham in the League Cup last season and, while he is waiting for another call-up, the starlet has continued to thrive at youth level, scoring seven goals in 14 games across all competitions.
Kazaiah Sterling
An exciting striker who possesses pace in abundance, Sterling has scored seven goals in 16 games for Tottenham’s development sides across all competitions so far this season.
Breaking into the Tottenham first-team as a striker certainly won’t be an easy task with Harry Kane ahead of him, but Sterling has vast potential.
Japhet Tanganga
A powerful centre-back, Tanganga has established himself as a regular at the heart of the defence for Tottenham U23s at the age of just 18.
Calm in possession, the prospect has also featured in the UEFA Youth League and the EFL Trophy this campaign.
Anthony Georgiou
Usually deployed on the left flank, Georgiou is very skillful.
The youngster struggled with injuries last season but he made his first-team debut against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League earlier this campaign and is highly regarded by Mauricio Pochettino.
Samuel Shashoua
Another tricky winger, albeit one who usually plays on the right flank, Shashoua has scored two goals in eight Premier League 2 fixtures this campaign.
The 18-year-old can also play as an attacking midfielder and frequently found the net for Tottenham U18s last season.
