Jose Enrique has aimed a jibe at Manchester United on Twitter by claiming they have won their ‘first title in a long time’ after their 4-0 pre-season win over Liverpool in Thailand.

At the end of the day, pre-season doesn’t matter much because it’s all about what you produce when the actual season kicks off – and the new Premier League season is less than a month away.

But that doesn’t stop fans from getting over-emotional for these matches and hyping up the situation, especially if they pick up the win.

That’s what Man United fans will be feeling right now after putting four past their old rivals in what was Erik ten Hag’s first unofficial game in charge.

Former Reds left-back Enrique clearly didn’t take the defeat well, as he posted the following message after the game concluded in Bangkok.

CAN LIVERPOOL STOP MANCHESTER CITY NEXT SEASON?

Four out of the last five Premier League titles is pure dominance from Pep Guardiola’s side, with Liverpool being the only team that have come near to them during these past few years.

Chelsea have sat in between, Manchester United have spent money only to go backwards, whilst Arsenal are still struggling to get back into the Champions League.

More than likely, those from the Etihad will make it six out of five next season, but if anyone can stop them, then it’s Jurgen Klopp and his players.

Mo Salah has penned down his future at the club, but they have lost Sadio Mane this summer, which is a body blow for the fans and the players.

But Liverpool have been pretty quick to react by adding Darwin Nunez to their ranks, added with Luis Diaz arriving in January.

Although, those two have to produce some serious magic in order to match the big-game moments and performances Mane used to consistently produce.
