Some Manchester City fans on social media have been reacting after The Independent reported that they’re ready to pay £150m for Harry Kane.
Kane has been a target of City’s for months at this point, and it seems as though they’re going to have to pay a record amount to get him to The Etihad.
While Kane is a supremely talented footballer, fans don’t believe he’s worth that £150m fee, and now they’re having second thoughts about this deal.
To be honest, we can understand where they’re coming from. £150m is a lot of money to spend on a 28-year-old who has had injury problems in the past, and while he would improve their squad, there’s a feeling that there are cheaper and younger options.
Erling Haaland and Dusan Vlahovic are two strikers the City fanbase continuously namedropped, and it’s hard to argue against going for a younger player to help in the long term.
