Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Andy Carroll signed for Reading.
So, why do Liverpool fans care about this news from the Championship? Well, Carroll is of course a former Red and he was even their record signing at one point, joining for £35m in 2011.
Liverpool supporters had something of a mixed reaction to this news about Carroll. Some quite clearly still have a lot of affinity for the target man, with one supporter even claiming that he’ll adopt Reading as a second-team after this news, while another compared this news to Steven Gerrard joining Aston Villa last week.
Others were a bit harsher after seeing this news, poking fun at the striker’s injury history, while one reflected on how funny it is in hindsight that the 32-year-old was once the Reds’ record signing.
