Speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Tottenham’s hunt for a new defender.
Jacobs discussed the usual names, stating that the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar are targets, but, interestingly, he threw another left-field name into the equation.
Indeed, according to Jacobs, Spurs are keen on Wolves’ Max Kilman, stating that the club are fans of the player due to the fact he has composure on the ball, Premier League experience and he would be available for a decent fee.

Spurs could go for Kilman
Jacobs shared what he knows about Kilman and Tottenham.
“The other name I would keep an eye on, again, for the summer rather than for now is Max Kilman at Wolves. Kilman has been firmly on Tottenham’s radar and it’s about that period in the market when you can move.
“There’s no point wasting time and energy when there is no ability to sell. Now, a new manager, Wolves are struggling, Kilman will be thinking about his aspirations, come the summer it wouldn’t surprise me, even if he gets on playing under Lopetegui, if Kilman decides he would like to make a move. I think that’s what Spurs are looking at and waiting for. He is one of a few targets for a while, they feel he has composure on the ball, he has Premier League experience and he could be available for a relatively decent fee.”
Looks ready for the step up
Kilman may not be the biggest name in the Premier League, but he’s a footballer who looks ready to make the step up to the elite level.
His ability on the ball makes him a prime candidate for a club like Spurs, and there’s a lot about Kilman that reminds us of Ben White before he went to Arsenal.
White has, of course, become a star at the Emirates, and perhaps Kilman could do the same with Spurs.
He’s been described as ‘fantastic’ in the past, and now, he could make the step to the next level.
