Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders has told the club’s official website that Roberto Firmino will not play against Norwich City tonight.
The Reds will take on Premier League rivals Norwich away from home at Carrow Road in the Carabao Cup tonight.
Brazilian forward Firmino has missed Liverpool’s last three matches with a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old will resume training with his Liverpool teammates this week, but Lijnders has said that the forward will not play tonight.
Lijnders told Liverpool’s official website: “Then we have Bobby, who will do parts of team training but also not ready. But progressing well.”

Encouraging update
It is a blow that Firmino will not play against Norwich tonight.
You can bet that the Brazilian would love nothing more than to get back into the team.
However, it is encouraging to hear from Lijnders that Firmino is on the mend.

Liverpool take on Brentford away from home in the Premier League this coming weekend.
It is unlikely that Firmino will start for Jurgen Klopp’s side for the Bees if he fully recovers, but hopefully the Brazilian will be part of the matchday squad.
Liverpool are doing quite well without Firmino, with Mohamed Salah banging in the goals and Diogo Jota replacing the Brazilian in the team.
