Everton have reportedly made a £5m bid for Rangers defender Nathan Patterson.
According to the Mirror, the Toffees have target the 19-year-old Scottish youngster with Rafa Benitez eager to strengthen in the right-back position.
Everton were chasing Holland international Denzel Dumfries. However, Inter Milan won the race for the 25-year-old right-back after weeks of speculation.
With the transfer window closing in under ten days, Everton don’t have much time left to sign a right-back, which has been a priority position for the club for the majority of the summer.
And Patterson could be an interesting option for Everton. The defender has shone under Steven Gerrard since breaking into the first-team, with the teenager impressing in the UEFA Europa League, in particular.
However, for Everton fans on social media, some are not convinced about Patterson being the man to solve the club’s issues at right-back.

Despite his young age and reputation in Scotland, some supporters aren’t sold on the idea of Patterson coming to replace Seamus Coleman at the right-back position for Everton.
