Aston Villa’s game against Everton was largely uneventful as the Villans drew 0-0 with the Toffees.
However, despite the game being something of a borefest, there was one moment that had everyone a little worried as Matty Cash came off injured with a hamstring problem.
Dean Smith said after the game that the injury could be season-ending for the full-back, but it seems as though the defender was rather more optimistic.
Cash seems to be hopeful that he’ll be back sooner rather than later saying that he has his fingers crossed.
Cash will know better than anyone how his hamstring is feeling, so there’s every chance that he could be back involved for Villa before the season is over.
However, hamstring injuries are tricky to manage and you can’t rush yourself back after a problem like this or else it’s possible to aggravate this sort of issue.
Fingers crossed Cash is back in action sooner rather than later.
