Manchester City are reportedly set to sit down with Phil Foden to discuss a new contract with the club.
According to Goal, the Premier League champions are eager to tie the winger down to a new deal with the club. Foden is viewed by City as a key player for the future.
The Manchester giants have this week already signed John Stones to a new long-term contract. The defender will remain with the club until 2026 following a sensational 12 months for the centre-back.
Indeed, Foden enjoyed a breakthrough season last year in the City first-team. The attacker was key to the club’s Premier League success as well as their run to the UEFA Champions League.
And given Foden’s young age, it makes sense why City are eager to tie the 21-year-old academy graduate to a new long-term deal with the club.
The winger was one of City’s best players last campaign. And awarding Foden a new contract is the least the youngster deserves following his exploits last season.

And on social media, City fans are buzzing that the club are plotting on awarding Foden a new contract with the Premier League champions.
Foden has blossomed into one of City and England’s most exciting players in recent years, and handing the youngster a new contract will be smart business from Pep Guardiola’s side.
