Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, and it seems that former Gunners star Jack Wilshere is a fan of the West Ham United midfielder, as you can see from his post on Instagram below.

According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal are determined to sign Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer of 2023 and could prioritise him over fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion.

TalkSPORT journalist and presenter Jim White has said that West Ham want as much as £120 million plus add-ons for the midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport this month that Arsenal are willing to break their transfer record for Rice and make him their most expensive signing.

Wilshere played for both Arsenal and West Ham.

The former England international midfielder is now the manager of the Arsenal Under-18 team.

The 31-year-old was impressed by Rice’s performance for West Ham in their 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Rice scored for the Hammers in the 78th minute.

It was the 24-year-old midfielder’s eighth goal in his Premier League career and his second in the league this season.

And Wilshere was impressed, and so was Chelsea legend John Terry.
