Tottenham's Victor Wanyama warms up before the match

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Filip Lesniak has told the club’s matchday programme that it was unbelievable to train with first-team regulars Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.

Lesniak, who is 20 years of age and has yet to make his debut in the Premier League, has also stated that he watches midfielders Wanyama and Dembele closely during matches.

“Absolutely, I try to watch every Spurs game and watch them as closely as I can,” the Slovakia Under-21 international told Tottenham’s matchday programme when asked if he can learn from Wanyama and Dembele.

“I trained with Wanyama a few weeks ago and I’ve trained with Dembele before and it’s unbelievable to experience.”

Wanyama and Dembele are two of the best midfielders in the Premier League and have been playing brilliantly for Tottenham this season.

Lesniak is only 20 years of age and has a long way to go before establishing himself in the Spurs first team, but he could not have chosen better midfielders to learn from.

If the Slovakia Under-21 international defensive midfielder continues to play well for Tottenham’s youth teams, then he will get his chances for the senior side.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has shown that he is open to giving chances to young and talented players, and Lesniak will get his chances if he works hard.

Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 68 points from 31 matches, seven points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea.
