Filip Helander was in action for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox in the Europa League on Thursday.
Filip Helander of Rangers
Helander was in action for Rangers in their Europa League game against Feyenoord at Ibrox.
The 26-year-old Sweden international was superb at the back and gave a very good account of himself at the heart of the Gers’ defence.
Helander has said that he was nervous at the start of the match, and he has praised the atmosphere the Rangers fans created at Ibrox.
Helander told The Scottish Sun: “It was probably the best atmosphere I have ever experienced as a player. We got the victory as well, so that made it the perfect night.
“I was a bit nervous beforehand, although that is normal before every game. It would be exactly the same experience for me if we were playing Feyenoord or St Johnstone.”

Good signing for Rangers
Helander joined Rangers from Italian club Bologna in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £3.5 million.
The Sweden international has not played regularly for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this season, but against Feyenoord, he showed what he is capable of.
With Rangers competing for the Scottish Premiership title and in the Europa League this season, Helander will play an important role as the season progresses.
