Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic signed Filip Benkovic on loan from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

Benkovic joined Scottish Premiership side Celtic on loan from Premier League side Leicester in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old central defender has been playing well for the Hoops, and he was stunned by the atmosphere at Celtic Park during Brendan Rodgers’s side’s win against RB Leipzig
The Croatia Under-21 international, though, has admitted that he may not be at Celtic beyond January.
Benkovic told The Scottish Sun: “When we went out on to the pitch at the beginning our fans were on fire. The atmosphere was crazy and they gave us the wings to play.
“When I played for Dinamo Zagreb it was a different situation because there were some political problems and so many fans stayed away.
“But the experience at Parkhead on Thursday . . . every player would want to have been part of this. The memory of it will live with me forever and I want to enjoy as many of them as I can.”
The youngster added on his future: “Should we get through, I do not know what will happen. It’s not my decision to stay here or go back to Leicester.
“While I am here I will give everything because these supporters deserve that at the very least.”

Big loss for Celtic
Benkovic has established himself as an important player in Celtic’s team and has formed a strong partnership with Dedryck Boyata in the Hoops’ defence.
It will be a massive loss for Celtic if Leicester decide to recall the defender to the King Power Stadium in the January transfer window.
Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership and could also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
